Homes of Hope is the site of three buildings: Botanical Apartments (formerly St Kilda Apartments project), Bundalohn Mansion and Darwalla House. Bower Insights resources were engaged from initial feasibilities through to delivery, providing property advisory, development management and project management services, to support the delivery of this redevelopment project, which saw the existing 1950s motel and extensions on the site transform into 50 architect-designed, secure and affordable homes across the three buildings. Bower Insights undertook preliminary investigations on the site, which suggested that one existing building should be rebuilt and the remianing two buildings on the site refurbished. This allowed for the development of a purpose-built facility (Botanical Apartments) which is the home of the Cornelia Program for pregnant women and new mothers and infants. Darwalla House provides pathways into long-term housing for women exiting the Cornelia Program, and Bundahlon Mansion houses women living with a disability, with a mentor living on site to provide wrap around support.
